In the context of global carbon neutrality, the environmental protection and sustainability of energy storage batteries have become important concerns of enterprises and society. Excellent energy storage batteries not only help promote the development of renewable energy but also realize green and low-carbon operation throughout their life cycle, making important contributions to the construction of a zero-carbon earth.
From the perspective of green design, many energy storage enterprises adhere to the whole-life cycle concept, improving environmental performance in every link from raw material acquisition, production, use to end-of-life treatment and recycling. They have established a product traceability system to realize full-process tracking management from raw materials to delivery and recycling, and adopted green packaging strategies to improve the recycling rate of materials, with the utilization rate of recycled wood exceeding 90%.
In terms of green production, enterprises reduce energy consumption and pollutant emissions through technological innovation and management optimization. For example, some enterprises have installed photovoltaic power generation and energy storage systems in their production centers to provide green energy for production and office. Through measures such as improving water use efficiency and advanced treatment and reuse of wastewater, they have effectively saved water resources, and the treated water quality is far better than national standards.
The green value of energy storage batteries is more reflected in their application and recycling. It is estimated that energy storage products with a shipment volume of 70GWh can save 19,900 tons of standard coal and reduce 37,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every day if charged and discharged once a day, equivalent to planting 2.05 million trees. In terms of recycling, the metal recovery rate of lead battery recycling systems can reach more than 99%, and the lithium recovery rate of lithium battery recycling systems can reach more than 89%, which greatly reduces the consumption of natural resources and realizes the recycling of resources.
